Airmen and pilots from five European nations take part in 2019 European Spartan drills

Airmen and pilots from Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Slovakia took part in the 2019 European Spartan drills in Otopeni, close to Romania's capital Bucharest, and in Boboc, Buzau County, on Wednesday.

The drills kicked off on May 13 and will run until May 24, within the framework of the Romanian rotational presidency of the Council of the European Union. Australian, Greek and US observers were invited to monitor the operations.
