Great to be back off road in my Land Rover 110 County (Defender). This was the first run since doing the Dana 60 35 Spline full float conversion in the rear, alongside a few other modifications. The second trail in the video "Suzuki Hill" was actually the very first trail of the day. Talk about jumping in the deep end to start with 😂 Even though the Landy did it fairly easily i feel i wasn't as smooth as i could have been. Probably driving the petrol Jeep Rubicon for several moths and having to be on the gas a fair bit has effected the way i drove the 110. However as the day went on i feel i started to drive her smoother again.
In this video we start of with 80 Series Hill which was actually the last obstacle done on the day before heading home. 80 Series Hill is one of the iconic climbs in Menai NSW. It is basically 2 or 3 large steps pilled up on one another. Getting the right line makes the climb easy otherwise you can spend an hour and still have a hard time.
Suzuki Hill is a technical steep climb with large steps and boulders scattered throughout. Its also loose and traction is hard to find at places.
