The Science of Treachery: Coldest Circle of Hell, Hottest Internet Rage

The Science of Treachery: Coldest Circle of Hell, Hottest Internet Rage In Dante's tale of descent into the pit of sin, traitors reside in the lowest circle of hell, but why? Recently, the Internet was set aflame with two acts of supposed betrayal from gaming YouTuber ProJared, and beauty guru James Charles, both with massive loss in public support. While these two betrayals were very disparate in nature, one being romantic and the other mentoring, both were perceived of by the general public with an almost unprecedented ire. What is it about unfaithfulness, real or imagined, that affects us so deeply and why might humans, as a species, have developed this revulsion? This video covers the psychology, biology, chemistry and evolutionary aspects describing the complexities of human relationships, friendly or otherwise, and why treachery is the most severe sin.

TL;DR: ProJared cheated on his wife.
