Regarding Jaclyn Hill lipsticks (I tweeted about this earlier but wanted to expand here!)

I ordered the whole set of them and they came one day this past weekend (Friday or Saturday) in the mail while I was traveling. Upon taking them out of the packaging, one lipstick bullet had become loose from the tube and was stuck to the upper cap, but other than that, there were no visible concerns like hair or fibers stuck to them, and after trying on about half, I didn’t see any unusual bumpy texture that some had reported. I know for some, the texture problems have required repeated use to notice. For the record, one shade (Mom) actually stained my lips, and the overall texture (somewhere between a traditional cream and a matte), is not over-the-top impressive to me, and I’m surprised it’s been given the name “So Rich”.

Anyway, at that point, I had seen several videos voicing quality concerns (which is why I was giving them such a close look), and now days later it seems that even more accounts of problems have surfaced. It's rather troubling that people are having issues across so many different shades (seeming like perhaps the problems are not an isolated incident?) While my set has not shown anything concerning, I'm planning to suspend my testing of these lipsticks until I hear something from Jaclyn or her company regarding whether there may be some sort of contamination/recall/etc. I’m not trying to be overly dramatic here, but I don’t want to be dealing with a health risk to me or my baby. Thank you to all who have taken an interest in my channel and requested a review, but it’s really looking unlikely that I’ll be able to deliver that. Thanks for understanding!
