In Slow Pitch Softball its important for your success as a pitcher to get the low strike. It's a key part of an overall winning strategy. Umpires have a tendency to take away the low strike by calling it "flat" when most of the time it isn't. Whether you're pitching strait pitches, curve balls, sliders, screwballs or knuckleballs, you have to find a way to get the strike down on the knees. If you don't, you'll end up giving up a lot of home runs and deep gap hits. In this video I'll share this little trick to help you identify that low, strike. There's no doubt that the vast majority of softball umpires call it strait "as they see it" but that's the rub, sometimes they don't see it. I'll share my little secret about how to discuss this with your home plate umpire, in a diplomatic way. You'll be amazed how many more low - "legal" strikes you'll get called in your favor if you follow this tactic.
