Man City to evict Bury from training ground as they fail to maintain complex

Man City to evict Bury from training ground as they fail to maintain complex MANCHESTER CITY are to evict broke Bury from their old Carrington training ground after the Shakers failed to maintain the complex – despite using it rent-free.  The Manchester Evening News claims the newly-promoted League One side will have to find somewhere else to train after being served with notice by furious City.  Cash-strapped Bury have been using the complex since 2014 after falling on hard times.  It’s estimated that they’ve saved around £350,000 thanks to City.  But they have apparently failed to look after the facilities, which including building and pitch maintenance.  It’s said that at one point the water supply was cut off, while there have been numerous break-ins.  And after numerous warnings, City are now pulling the plug on the agreement.  It spells more bad news for Bury, who were unable to pay players and staff at one point.  They have until October to find a new base, and now heading into the new season facing a winding-up petition from HM Revenue and Custom as owner Steve Dale actively looks to sell the club. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirms he will return to Barcelona ‘sooner or later’
