Meghan Markle and Harry may have to rip up Frogmore Cottage garden for breaking THIS rule

Meghan Markle and Harry may have to rip up Frogmore Cottage garden for breaking THIS rule Meghan Markle and Prince Harry faced criticism following the revelation they spent £2.4million of public money on renovating Frogmore Cottage. Now the couple’s garden plans are hanging in the balance after they made additions to it which weren’t approved in the original planning application. A retrospective planning application  was submitted to Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex yesterday.  But if the additional changes to the garden are not approved, Meghan and Harry may have to go back to the drawing board. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keen to create the “perfect home” for their little boy Archie Harrison. The doting parents are nature fans and wish to give their son an idyllic outdoor space to play in, but their garden plans could be in jeopardy. Why are Meghan Markle and Harry’s Frogmore Cottage plans matter of ‘national security’?  While precise details of the Frogmore Cottage garden plans are being kept secret by the Palace, they are believed to include an outdoor kitchen, an organic fruit and veg patch and £2, worth of trees and shrubbery. In a letter submitted to Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council yesterday, Household project manager, Ian Ratcliffe wrote: “National security could be compromised if public access is given to the plans.” He added: “For reasons of national security, we would appreciate if this application could be treated as confidential, and not be allowed to enter the public domain.” While the letter does not reveal the exact changes Meghan and Harry have made to their garden, a source told the Daily Mail they were “minor.”   The source said: “The building services department had to make a minor amendment to the landscaping of the property – which was out of everyone’s control – but as it was a change to the agreed plans, it was, unfortunately, necessary to re-submit them.” No matter how small the changes, however, if the local council decides not to approve them, Meghan and Harry will have no choice but to rip them up and start again. Keeping Meghan and Harry’s garden plans private was branded a “national security” matter in the letter, which may ruffle some royal fans. However, the language used in the planning application is understood to be standard for all royal households. The source said: “As the proposals include layouts of the house and garden, building services ask as a matter of necessity that they are not made public for reasons of security.” The source added: “Some changes have been made to the plans to create the duke and duchess’s garden after the original planning consent was granted.”   The royal insider claimed Meghan and Harry’s renovations were centred around little Archie. They said: “Frogmore Cottage will be the perfect place for a royal prince to grow up with the duke and duchess and these changes are very important to create a perfect home for themselves and Archie. “These specific changes are being dealt with the local council
