Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib has called for a $20-an-hour minimum wage during an event in Detroit on Sunday evening. Her calls come one week after House Democrats on Thursday passed legislation to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by October 2025, although Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is refusing to bring it up in his chamber. The freshman Democratic representative from Michigan stated the minimum wage should be raised to between $18 and $20 an hour. "Make sure America Rising hears that.
