S. Korea allows extended working hour scheme for firms affected by Japan's export curbs '日 수출규제 품목' 국산화 기업에 3개월 특별연장근로 허용

The South Korean government has decided to permit a special extended working hour scheme outside the 52-hour maximum workweek for local companies affected by Japan's trade curbs.
Describing Tokyo's measures as a "social disaster,"... Minister of Labor Lee Jae-kap said the extended working hours will be in place for a maximum of three months.
He said the move will enable South Korean firms to focus on R&D to reduce their dependence on Japan for items that are subject to Tokyo's export restrictions.
