Barcelona legend slams clubs interest in Neymar and 'disrespect' to Philippe Coutinho

Barcelona legend slams clubs interest in Neymar and 'disrespect' to Philippe Coutinho Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov has slammed the clubs interest in Neymar and said he would be like "a bomb inside the locker room".   The Spanish club have stepped up their pursuit of their former star after holding talks with PSG over a potential transfer on Tuesday.  But Stoichkov questioned why his old club would club would want Neymar - whose actions have caused plenty of disruption to his current club.   Stoichkov told Univision (via CalcioMercato ): " Barcelona does not need Neymar. He has no place because there are already important players.  "There are Dembele, Griezmann, Suarez and Messi. Where is he going to play?  "He would be a bomb inside the locker room."  Neymar's position at PSG has become increasingly untenable since announcing his desire to leave the club earlier this summer.  Fans of the club produced X-rated banners criticising the forward in their opening Ligue 1 fixture against Nimes.  The 27-year-old only moved to the Parc des Princes for a world-record £198 million fee from Barca two years ago.  PSG sporting director Leonardo revealed the French champions were open to the sale of Neymar "if there is an offer that suits everyone".  However Leonardo failed to come to an agreement with Barca chiefs Eric Abidal and Javier Bordas in preliminary discussions on Tuesday.  Stoichkov said: "For my part, I don't want him to come back. Surely there is a group of players who want him to return and ask the president to make an effort but Barcelona will not move a single euro to return. They will not pay up to PSG."  Barcelona are trying to offer outcast Philippe Coutinho as a makeweight in the deal, but the clubs are currently some way apart agreeing on the midfielders valuation.  PSG have turned down Barca's offer of Ivan Rakitic, and want full-back Nelson Semedo included along with Coutinho instead.  But Stoichkov feels the club are disrespecting their own players by touting them out to the French club.  "Players offered to PSG? It is disrespectful. For example, Rakitic is a great worker, a very humble boy who has never let his guard down and has always defended the interests of Barcelona," he added.  "Coutinho? He cost a lot of money but has a lot of football in him and I defend him. Hopefully, no Barcelona player leaves."
