If you want to increase your strength, just take a look at progression exercises. NO ONE can do a muscle up from the beginning - only a few can even do Pull Ups! That's why you need to research the exercises to do BEFORE you do the actual one. It's like math - you didn't start with Algebra and complex calculations, but with 1+1=2.
Don't shy away from doing progression exercises. They will enable you to do the correct exercise with PROPER FORM and your risk of injury will lower insanely.
