What an INCREDIBLE send off to our family vacation here in Puerto Rico! We went paddleboarding in the lagoon just off the Caribbean Sea near old San Juan and to our shocking surprise we stumbled on a huge sea manatee! I mean, this thing was massive and seriously came out of nowhere! We saw its tail come out of the water from a distance and so we started paddling towards it. We were amazed when we got there and it was under two kayaks with the kayakers petting it! We pulled our paddle boards up close and it swam right under us then put its huge head up on the other side of the paddle board. This terrified one of our kids and he started to scream. This caused his little sister to start panicking as well. Once the two of them saw that the sea manatee surprise was friendly and actually loved the attention, they went from terrified to thrilled! Both begging to chase the sea manatee down so they could pet it!
I can't think of a more perfect way to wrap up this family vacation! It has been full of big and exciting surprises and epic moments like this one that we will never forget! We hope you've loved this fun family adventure and we look forward to going home and sleeping in our own beds and getting back to our normal routine. Thanks for making this family vacation so epic!
