When you buy a home on Smith Island, the houses almost always come fully furnished, so the items that are left in the home become part of the deal. We walked through one of these houses that have become available due to the prior owners passing away. Their children now have control of the home, but none of them live on the Island, and seemingly do not want anything further to do with the house. So we will be talking with one of them very soon, to see if we can work out an owner financing deal. Just part of the adventure!
