dub.format debuts on Jelly For The Babies One Of A Kind with new single ‘Rebooting’. Hailing from Mar del Plata, Lucas Cerisola aka dub.format has had his best year on record. Proton’s Particles and The Purr have been ideal vehicles for his unique blend of deep and progressive house. Now embarking on the most anticipated release of his career, dub.format debuts on One Of A Kind alongside remixes from Soulkeys and Subandrio.



Spacious and groovy, it’s the original mix which gets the release underway. Quite fluid yet rhythmic and buoyant it’s a track that incorporates a wide range of motifs to deliver it’s message. Ghostly vocal wails and astral synths play a predominate role in the narrative, while a bevy of timely transitions and classy modulation elevate mood and energy. Perhaps void of a primary lead, this excels because of it’s rhythmic qualities which are no doubt something your dance floor will appreciate.



Soulkeys have come on strong this year, with a particular highlight being a remix for We Are The Underground. Now the Argentinean duo continue that momentum with an inspired take on ‘Rebooting’. A touch dubby sounding and quite hypnotic at points, it’s a heady rework that’s perfect for the dance floor or a listening session. The vocals have been fragmented for maximum sensory saturation, while buzzing electronics make for a tension filled break and classy drop.



Rounding out the release is one of the progressive underground’s most beloved stars Subandrio. Certainly Sri Lanka’s most revered producer and a prominent figure on the global scene as well. 2019 has continued his rise with a forthcoming EP for Sudbeat Music about to drop along with an appearance on Hernan Cattaneo’s recently released Balance compilation. Always a creative remixer Subandrio now rounds out the release his ‘Secret Rising’ interpretation of ‘Rebooting’. The detail and energy are astounding from the outset, with a wonderfully carved low end, meticulous percussion and stellar effects highlighting the first act. Trendy melodic concepts soon follow, quite fragmented and with a lot left to the imagination, they open up your emotional centres, before the narrative shifts into something a touch more brooding and hypnotic during the final act. Already receiving great support pre-release, this is another on the money production from Subandrio, and one you’re likely to be hearing a lot in the coming months. It rounds out another great release from Jelly For The Babies’ One Of A Kind that’s not to be missed.
