Why we Wanted to Quit Cycling (...for a while) | Cycling the World 32

Why we Wanted to Quit Cycling (...for a while) | Cycling the World 32 Bicycle Vlog 32: ’Deserted’ - After spending 3 long days in the Azerbaijani port of Alat we get the green light to board the Caspian Sea ferry to Kazakhstan. We explore the ship and make friends along the way. In the middle of the second night we are woken up to get ready for the cumbersome passport control. Hours later we get of the ship and are lucky to find a sleeping place in the customers centre in the Kazakh port at Kuryk. A huge and monotonous expanse of desert awaits us to the east. Constant headwind, scorching sun, crazy traffic and with clouds of dust we decide it’s better to skip this part and use our time in more exciting places further down the line. We have fun on the train with the local people of West Uzbekistan and take the taxi from Nukus for a crazy ride to the heart of central Asia.

To see, feel, smell, hear and taste everything the road has to offer will be so much different than watching a documentary or reading a book about it. Sometimes it will be difficult and most of the time fantastic. We hope you will find inspiration in our video's and maybe fuel your dreams as so many other have done for us.
