A successor to the DB4, the DB5 was introduced in 1964 and remains the first production Aston Martin to be equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, electric windows with tinted glass and twin fuel filler caps. With greater refinement and more performance than its predecessors the DB5 has become widely acknowledged as the most famous car in the world, no doubt as a result of the model’s association with the world’s favourite fictional secret agent, Commander James Bond.
