Auto Turn ON | OFF Diwali Light | Converting Cheap LED STRING Light to Smart | Photocell LDR switch

Hello everybody, in this video, I have shown you how you can convert one or multiple led string lights / festive lights / decorative lights to smart lights that turns on automatically at night and turns off automatically in the day. Any other electrical devices will also work.

I have used a cheap Photocell LDR switch for this project :

To make this auto on off light for Diwali, I have used an auto on of switch which is also known as a photocell switch or LDR switch. This switch uses an LDR sensor to get information about the intensity of the light to differentiate between day and night. The auto day night sensor switch is fairly cheap, available for roughly ₹200 to ₹300 ($3 to $4). A decorative light or festive light or any other device, even multiple lights or devices can be connected to the Photocell LDR switch as long as the total current draw is within it's limits. The one I used works with 220-240 volts and can handle up to 10A of current. This smart switch can also be adjusted for light sensitivity as needed. Diwali or Deepavali is a festival of lights and nowadays, LED light is an integral part of this festival. This DIY Diwali light project (with led string light) can be very useful for the purpose of home automation.
