Bajaj showcased the Chetak electric scooter for the first time in the western part of the country. The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter was unveiled in Delhi last month after which few Bajaj scooters were ridden down from the capital city to Pune as part of the Electric Yatra. The Bajaj Chetak is the first electric scooter from the Indian brand and is powered by an electric motor developed by Bosch and develops 4kW. While details of the motor is scarce, Bajaj claims a range of 95km for the Chetak EV. The styling of the electric scooter is inspired from Vespa and we must say that the Chetak looks handsome. Bajaj Chetak features include LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity and a digital instrument cluster. Bookings for Bajaj Chetak will start soon and it's expected to be launched in January, 2020. The Bajaj Chetak EV price will be slightly above Rs 1 lakh and it will be positioned as a premium scooter and compete against the Ather 450.
