Escape - a poem about the journey that we are undertaking and our understanding of why

The journeys that we take with others are not always of our own volition or under our own power. Often, we are compelled to make those journeys without the logic or understanding of why we have begun to tread that path.

But still we walk and think and will ask ourselves why we are still making these footfalls and where will we end up. Think of the souls that we take upon these journeys, or those that we encounter as we make our way to whatever destination we have envisioned will be the journey’s end.

But we keep going, we are never sedentary.

These words echo that journey that we find ourselves on. We may not know where it leads or who will be met as we venture forth but we will just keep walking and learning.
