Leader of the National Freedom Front (NFF) MP Wimal Weerawansa states that his government is taking legal action regarding the allegations leveled against the government headed by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. Wimal Weerawansa made this statement participating at a media briefing held today (20) with party leaders supporting the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
He also said that steps will be taken to look into the central bank bond transactions and enforce the law.
He further stated that taking action against Patali Champika Ranawaka due to a youth who was serious injured in an accident in Rajagiriya and escaped.
Wimal Weerawansa further stated that intends to take action against Hirunika Premachandra regarding the abduction of a youth in a defender's vehicle.
Wimal Weerawansa also stated that legal action will be taken against Rajitha Senaratne regarding the recent incident of a white van driver.
He further stated that the person who claimed to be the driver of the vehicle too was arrested and according to his evidence he would act accordingly if such killings had taken place.
He also stated that the opponents had made false statements about President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa during the presidential election and that he intends to act on it.
