SC pronounces landmark Ayodhya verdict; paves way for construction of Ram Temple at disputed site

The Supreme Court in a historic judgement today paved the way for construction of a Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya and has directed the Centre to allot a 5-acre alternate plot of land to the Sunni Waqf Board.
With its unanimous verdict that runs into 1,045 pages, the five-judge bench of the Supreme Court has ended the more than 7 decades long dispute.
The Supreme Court has unanimously ordered setting up of a trust by the Government that would eventually pave the way for construction of a temple in Ayodhya at the disputed site.
The top Court ordered the Government to set up the trust within 3 months.
