But today marked a devastating low point for the self-made star, who has been declared bankrupt after blowing her estimated £45million fortune. Katie, 41, was supposed to be paying £12,000 a month to creditors as part of an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) the courts agreed to last year. But having failed to keep up with repayments, she was declared bankrupt in her absence at the Insolvency and Companies Court in London. As in standard in bankruptcy cases, her bank account will be frozen while a trustee values her assets and works out what can be sold to pay back the cash. As long as her "mucky mansion" in West Sussex home isn't in negative equity then it would likely be sold.
