Weight Loss Mindset
Change Your Goals
Losing weight might be a result, but it shouldn't be the goal. Rather, your goals should be small, sustainable things over which you have full control. Did you do the exercises today? There’s one goal met. What about eight hours of sleep? - Did you get them in? If so, you can check another goal off of your list.
Stay Positive
Stay positive and surround yourself with positive people. Doing so provides you an encouraging, emotionally healthy environment in which to invest in yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help or support. Always choose the positive and the right people that can help you.
Throw Out the Calendar
Patience is also important when you are losing weight in a healthy and sustainable matter. Plus, if you focus on meeting your goals truly every day, there's no need to get wrapped up in a timeline of goals ahead. Every 24 hours comes with new successes.
Accept Your Current Reality
In order to break through the plateau and release the excess weight, first you need to accept your current body and be ok with it. This doesn't mean that you want to stay the way you are forever, but you need to accept your current reality.
Find The Right Motivation
We are conditioned by the media and mass culture to assume that being skinny and fit will bring us happiness and make our lives whole. Usually these assumptions are not even conscious. But what is truly important is to feel free and connected, have lots of energy and have the confidence to fully express yourself.
Trust Your Body
Our bodies if we learn to listen to them will tell us exactly what we need. Are you reaching for the potato chips when what you really need is glass of water and some nuts? Every day our bodies give us signals. As we learn to slow down, breathe, and listen to the wisdom within us our bodies relax. The dieting mentality fades away. This is when weight loss happens easily and naturally.
