What is the role of ethics in ISKCON? Does the Society have a well-articulated and credible moral philosophy? Why might we neglect character appraisal, privileging instead a standardisation of belief, practice or religious belonging? Practically, how do we deal with variant ethical perspective within ISKCON? This course explores these philosophical yet pertinent questions. We discuss leadership tools for nurturing and embedding organizational virtues. Ultimately, we collaboratively formulate concrete ways to apply a ‘transcendental ethics’; a normative moral philosophy capable of authentically contributing to wider discourse, and reaching out to those engaged with the taxing moral questions of our time.
