We have a day off and decide to make a run to Shiloh, Ohio to visit our favorite Amish Bulk Food Store and Hardware Store. The stores are on separate properties and are called "Planktown" but the town is called Shiloh and the country road they sit on is Planktown Road---thus the name "Planktown Hardware" and "Planktown Country Market". Lucky for us, it was a rainy day and not too crowded.
The Hardware store is a miniature version of Lehmann's Hardware in the Amish region of Kidron, OH and Mount Hope, OH. Shiloh, OH is about 1 hour or less from the Amish region, but there are still plenty of Amish families in this area.
Planktown Hardware has a huge selection of pressure canner parts if you're in the area and looking for a particular piece or you can check out their website too. Like all good Amish stores: closed on Sunday's.

Planktown Country Market is a favorite of ours too. We can get to both of these stores in less than an hour from our house, so location is very convenient.
We love their huge variety of economical bulk spices and inexpensive but quality deli cheeses and meats. Who can visit an Amish store without stocking up on Amish Fry Pies?!? Unfortunately, there is no website for the Country Market and again.....closed on Sunday's.
