Time Period and Maintenance
One month.......Check the commutators and contractors
Three months.......Oil bath for gear drive has to be refilled
Six months.........Inspect the gear case and renew if necessary
Two and half years........Check sliding contacts of rheostats
Two and half years.......If gear drive is worn beyond makers recommendation, replace them
