Music: From the Vault - Halo: Reach OST TEXT GUIDE
Step 1
If you don't have a controller that can connect to your PC, either buy one or wait until 343i officially releases Forge (and alongside it, Thorage).
Step 2
The program "HxD" is required too, but it's free, so downloading it will help out massively with Step 4.
Step 3
After downloading "HxD", you will need to find where your MCC Local Files are located by heading to steam and selecting "properties" under MCC, heading to the Local Files tab and selecting "Browse Local Files..."
Or viewing the main path here - "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master ChiefCollection\"
The two files you will need to investigate are "MCC-WindowsNoEditor.pak",
located in this path - "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master ChiefCollection\MCC\Content\Paks",
and the actual EXE itself, on this path here - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\MCC\Binaries\Win64".
Step 4
If you manage to mess up your installation, go to Properties, Local Files, and select "Verify Integrity of Game Files." It should run a quick check at what files are modified, and replace them.
Open "HxD" and drag the two files in. In the Pak file, press Control + G and enter in the hex code, "1E302110", and replace the highlighted numbers with "27".
Repeating the last step, enter, "1E2F52D0", in the search bar and again, place "27" in the highlighted code. Then save your Pak file. It should automatically back up.
If you also want to get Theater Mode for your own video-making purposes, drag in the EXE and, using the aforementioned shortcut, this time enter, "17D3DE5". This time, switch the highlighted hex code to "08". Then save it and log out.
Now, the last step you should do is to launch MCC from Steam, as the desktop shortcut won't work. When prompted to launch with or without Anti-Cheat, launch the latter option. It should boot up, and boom. You can now Forge and Record matches at your own will!
