FASTag made mandatory from today to pay toll fee on National Highways across the country... commuters without FASTag will have to pay double the toll fee starting today...Several motorists who were unaware of FASTag implementation were seen arguing with toll plaza staff in Nelamangala for collecting double the toll fee. Motorists will have to affix FASTag on the windscreen of their vehicles. The motorists will not have to stop their vehicles at toll plazas to pay the toll as this automatically gets deducted from FASTag which is either linked to the bank account or a prepaid wallet.
