FS1Radiance: A set of sampled Yamaha FS1R patches for Korg Kronos HD-1 engine

The Yamaha FS1R was a short lived, but absolutely astonishing, truly unique, and by now very rare FM synthesizer. The word monster is over-used nowadays, but this really is a veritable monster.

From its vast sound palette, a number of patches I used on my albums and some of my own concoctions were sampled into Kronos.

This FREE set of 12 user programs + around 140MB samples is a tiny taster of user and my own patches from the truly unique Yamaha FS1R.

PLEASE NOTE: All except 2 programs were sampled *with* the FS1R’s full effect chain for those patches, as the particular sound of those programs is achieved not only via its unique FM architecture, but also due to its famously particular EFX.

Thus the resulting Kronos programs, except 2 of them, don’t have any effects whatsoever – and can add your own as you may wish.

NOTE: The patches load as USER BANK GG 000…011 – can load them anywhere else as needed.

On Kronos X, one person reported some error message for userbank loading, but I cannot reproduce it on K2 LS, therefore if anybody experiences any error messages, please let us know.
