Rao Noushad interviewed Advocate High Court Tahir Chaudhry regarding the religious and legal aspects of court marriage. He explained that in order to make a marriage legal, the couple has to be present in front of a Magistrate and give a statement that they are of the legal age, no one has pressurized them to take this step and are completely willing to be married to each other. This happens when a couple has already done their Nikkah religiously. Nikkah must be registered in the union council for it to be legal in the eyes of law. For more details watch the video.
