Local resident Doug Gibson said a dangerous bushfire raced over a mountain and came close to the township of Talbingo on Saturday. He told 7NEWS reporter Alex Hart that the fire was 'all around' the town.
Incredibly, only one holiday home on the main street was destroyed.
