The rootless cattleya orchid in this video was very, very shriweled, it did not had any roots, nor new growths. I did not had my hopes high, as it is a seedling with only 3 psb and 2 leaves, that at some point were almost paper thin.
So what I did was to put it deeper in the pot, to make sure it is not wabbly, and kept the reservoir in the semi hydro - self watering pot quite high in level, and just left in on a shelf. After a few months I saw the psbs were plump, and a little leaf was poking out though the media. Needless to say, my surprise was huge to see I have actually 3 new growths.
Now, there new growths won't be big, but they will ensure the future life of the orchid, by providing a brand new rooth system.
