The Tua Tagovailoa era at Alabama is over... The quarterback announced Monday morning that he will be declaring for the NFL draft instead of returning to the Crimson Tide for another season.
A final decision was seemingly made in recent days. Tagovailoa, his family and members of the Alabama medical staff met with doctors in New York on Friday for what was described to AL.com as an important meeting regarding the status of Tagovailoa’s injured hip. Tagovailoa and his family has since met with Tide coach Nick Saban multiple times in Tuscaloosa.
Tagovailoa will leave Alabama as arguably the greatest quarterback in school history and as the owner of several school records, including single game, single season and career touchdown passes.
