This was recorded almost two years ago now but even now I still have no clue what I did to have this happen. I never used any glitches or exploits on this copy of Crystal. The only “hacked” mon I had on there was a Mew using the Trainer Fly glitch in Pokémon Yellow. I had never came across any issues using the Mew in-game so I don’t think the Mew caused this to happen. Bonus: a little bit after this, I traded a Pidgeotto from this copy of Crystal to either Gold or Silver in exchange for a Feraligatr for my dex. And somehow... during or after the trade, the Pidgeotto’s name was changed to ‘Feraligatr’ and Feraligatr’s name was changed to Pidgeotto. Don’t ask because I still don’t know what the hell happened there.
