ANU Lecturers Vs JAC Members War Of Words | Amaravati JAC Supports To Suspended 4 ANU Students The officials of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) suspended four students for participating in the pro-Amaravati protest holding play cards. The four students reportedly joined with other students during the protest programme held in front of the ANU main gate three days ago and they are staying in the ANU hostel.

The in-charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. P Rajasekhar issued suspension orders against four students directing them to vacant hostel premises. Hence the university chief warden Dr D Ramachandra Rao served the notice to the students of the department of journalism Aswirvadam, Naveen, Raju and department of English student Edukondalu and ordered to vacate the hostel as per the direction of the VC. The VC mentioned that the students had participated in the anti-government activities of AP, JAC for Amaravati. The issue is referred to the Disciplinary Committee to seek an explanation from the students to decide the period of punishment.

The students requested them to revoke the suspension orders and give permission to stay in the hostel. Hence the chief warden Ramachandra Rao advised them to represent their explanation to the committee appointed by the VC. Meanwhile, the Telugu Nadu Students Federation state president Bramham Chowdary demanded to revoke the suspension orders immediately. He lamented that the vice-chancellor showing bias towards students who were agitated democratically.

He also alleged that the vice-chancellor acting as a pro-YSRC government which is severely objectionable. He said that they will organize "Chalo Nagarjuna University" if the VC fails to revoke the suspension orders immediately. He said that the students organized a protest in a democratic way but the VC suspended the students to get the appreciation from the YSRC government without any fault of the students. Guntur MP Galla Jaydev condemned the suspension of four students from ANU and mentioned they have a right to conduct peaceful protest.
