Chula Vista: Two Dead in Wrong Way Driver Collision 02012020

The CHP received reports of a wrong-way driver in a black pick-up truck with the headlights out speeding northbound in the southbound lanes near the I-905. Another caller said it was a sedan and not a truck.
A collision happened with a preliminary report of 12 vehicles involved.
2 People died in the crashes. 1 male had to be extricated by firefighters and along with one other male, they were transported to UCSD hospital for their injuries. There is wreckage everywhere, and the SB I-5 has been shut down and will be completely for hours. It’s not known at this time if the wrong-way driver is at the scene or fled. 7 Vehicles damaged 5 vehicles hit debris (12 vehicles in total).
