Kenny: 'Labor refuses to commit to climate change policies that will reduce bushfire threat'

Kenny: 'Labor refuses to commit to climate change policies that will reduce bushfire threat' In an exclusive interview with Sky News host Chris Kenny, Labor frontbencher Matt Thistlewaite has refused to commit to Labor to policies that would reduce the bushfire threat in Australia.

Mr Thistlethwaite said Labor would formulate its policies before the election.

However, in a telling exchange, Mr Thistlethwaite refused to say whether or not Australian climate policies or emissions reductions policies could have any effect on the bushfire threat in Australia.

Labor has tried to link the Coalition’s emissions reduction policies to the horror season of bushfires yet it won’t answer the critical question of whether anything Australia does on climate policies could have any impact on global climate patterns and Australian summer weather.
