IN THIS huge episode of Ultimate Rides, Danny Koker hits the highway with four ultimate big rigs that aren't just for freight: these machines are all about living large. In San Antonio, we meet the Mendez brothers and their incredible Kenworth 900 - with its bespoke paint job, crazy chrome and custom engine, it’s probably the most customized rig in the world. In Australia, we shred a whole load of tires with Filthy, the world’s first big rig built specifically for burnouts! With twin turbos and 900 horsepower, this beast can smoke a full set of tires in seconds – while still being street-legal. Back in Texas, we meet Peterbilt owner Terry Folsom who is hauling the world’s biggest barbecue pit – all 76 meat-smoking feet of it, While he uses it for charity events, its sheer size means it mainly stays put at his house – good job he has such a huge yard. Finally, we arrive in Ohio to check out Jim Muncy’s amazing creation Overkill – a badass custom hotrod built out of a Peterbilt. Cut up, reassembled and reimagined, it’s the least subtle way of fetching the groceries you’ve ever seen. Ultimate Rides: Big Rigs is on FYI at 10.30pm on Thursday February 6.
