EC cuts short poll campaign; Mamata Banerjee not trustworthy? | The Newshour Debate (15th May)

After days of violence and vandalism in West Bengal, the Election Commission invoked plenary powersa.No election campaigning to be held in 9 parliamentary constituencies of West Bengal - Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Jadavpur, Diamond Harbour, South & North Kolkata from 10 PM from May 16.
The move comes as a huge blow to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who all along had alleged that the BJP had roped in outsider goons to malign the election process in West Bengal. Listen in to know more!
