Arsenal news : Cesc Fabregas questions Unai Emery over selection of ONE Arsenal star vs Chelsea

Arsenal news : Cesc Fabregas questions Unai Emery over selection of ONE Arsenal star vs Chelsea That is the opinion of former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Gunners and the Blues go head-to-head in the Europa League final in Baku in Azerbaijan tonight. Mesut Ozil was named in the Arsenal starting XI behind the front two of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. Henrikh Mkhitaryan was not in the squad after refusing to travel to due to friction between host country Azerbaijan and his native Armenia. Ozil has not always been a regular starter in Unai Emery’s first season in charge at the Emirates. And Fabregas reckons the German would have been left out if Mkhitaryan was there. “I think [Mkhitaryan] would have started to be honest,” Fabregas said on BT Sport. “For some reason Emery doesn’t trust Ozil too much in big games. Trending  “That’s why I think he would have started Mkhitaryan and put Ozil on in the second half. “But it’s his decision, Mkhitaryan, he didn’t feel safe. “You have to respect it at the end of the day. It’s his decision.” Meanwhile, former Arsenal defender Martin Keown says it is a big disappointment Mkhitaryan did not feel safe enough to travel for the Chelsea clash.  “Well a massive blow,” Keown said on BT Sport. “I’m pretty certain he would have played some part of it. He’s been a big plus. “I’d like to have seen more from him but Arsenal haven’t got enough quality players to have one of their special players stepping out like that. “He’s played in this final before, Arsenal haven’t got a lot of big-game experience.”
