Dad Captures Lightning Storm From Plane

A terrified dad captured the moment huge upward lightning turned the night into day as he was flying on an airplane.

John Vaccaro, 62, was about to land with his son Erik, 15, at Tampa International Airport on July 19 when a violent thunderstorm prevented the plane from reaching the ground.

As the craft circled the airport waiting for the storm to quieten down, John filmed some huge upward lightning turning the night sky into day.

John said: “We kept circling around the airport for about half an hour.
