PM: We're waiting for Lynas to propose rare earths waste disposal method

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Lynas Corp can keep rare earth processing waste from its Gebeng plant in Kuantan, Pahang if it can build and maintain a facility to dispose of its waste.

The premier said that when asked if the government would allow the waste to remain in the country instead of an earlier requirement to ship it out.
