3. In which I struggle to grasp how (or if) the Obyte witness system works

I have been looking at how Obyte's witnesses secure the DAG system that Obyte provides, and although part of me feels that it's not quite right, I also think that there is the distinct possibility that I am so entrenched in the blockchain way of doing things, that I'm not getting what's really going on.

As a result, I intend to spend a bit more time and brainpower trying to distill down and comprehend how it all works. I'll let you know how that pans out.
