Time to add another smoothie to our long list of keto/healthy fat-inspired recipes! This is one of my favorites as it is not only a combination of wonderful collagen peptides that are going to do your body and your skin so much good, but it also has some other slightly different additions that not only make it a wonderful skin nourishing smoothie, as the name suggests, but this smoothie’s also full of other nutrients in the form of structured water, for example, celery, spinach and cucumber are all wonderful and easy to find sources of structured water which will really hydrate you at a cellular level. Add to the mix some zesty lemon juice, some delicious kiwi (skin on!) and almond or coconut milk for some creaminess and you have yourself a one of a kind, delicious smoothie. The amount of nutrients contained in this little refreshing concoction is mind-blowing and you can only imagine what it’s going to do to your body and health, and of course, let’s not forget that wonderful bonus that is the truly glowing, beautiful skin. Collagen is something I’m obsessed with. I eat collagen peptides in powder form (as you’ll see in this recipe; powder form is of course ideal), but what a lot of people don’t realize is that we can get it from eating certain foods, drinking bone broths, etc, and there are plenty of videos where I talk about that, here’s one for a starter if you want to learn more about collagen itself, and of course, be sure to go back and watch my other recipes.
This particular recipe represents what I love about healthy eating. It’s so SIMPLE and doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. That’s a total misconception.
So, gather the following ingredients, drop them in a blender, drink. Enjoy. Repeat. And, as with all healthy recipes on this channel, the idea is to make something that tastes good and is also good FOR you, something that sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s true; the best things for you often taste great. We’ve just been led to believe that so called “health food” is synonymous with tasting bad and that couldn’t be further from the truth. Just go back and see my other recipes and you’ll understand. Eat, drink, and be merry and well my friends. I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions and even learn about your own ways of boosting your collagen intake. By all means post it all below, I love to get feedback and read all your comments.
Be sure to check out other videos while you’re here and remember all video recipes are also on my website at www.naomiwhittel.com
Of course, I always include the ingredients and instructions in the descriptions of each video so if you miss anything, it’s all there in writing for reference.
