What do I study if I do a degree in linguistics?

Before I started university, I had no real idea of what I was going to study. I could read the modules but that didn't give me a particularly good idea as terms like 'sociolinguistics' meant nothing to me. In this video, I'm going to tell you about the sorts of things you're likely to encounter if you do choose to study a degree in English language and/or linguistics.
