I received a lot of feedback on my first two videos on anchor rigging and rightfully so. Those videos were designed to be a quick fix to a problem that has been plaguing canyoneering for several years. By quickly mitigating a single strand webbing anchor when in a slot canyon, you can make anchor systems much safer for the entire group and improve the changes that everyone will make it out of the canyon safely. When steps are not taken to create safe anchor systems, then the entire safety of the group may be at risk.
This is the proper way to build a courtesy anchor from the ground up. This employs building a Frost Knot into the anchor knots and creating the Frost Knot as an integral part of the anchor to make the courtesy pull in the proper direction and allow for an easy start on the anchors for everyone in the group but the last man down. Take this system and the Frost Knot, practice it at home over and over and make it a par of your knowledge base and how you will start rigging anchors when using a single strand piece of tubular webbing on your canyoneering anchors.
