This Landmark National federal cemetery Honors members of the armed forces and features war memorials over looking San Diego Bay and the city from the side and the Pacific Ocean on the other side..Located ona former Army coastal artillery station. Registered as a California Historic Landmark. The cemetery is spread out over 77.5 acres. Established in 1882. As I walked through the cemetery in this one area I became very emotional and felt an over whelming feeling inside.I walked for quite a while reading the head stones of those taken to soon. Then found myself sitting on a bench gazing out towards the Pacific Ocean.
