Article 370: Kashmir residents are happy with UT status to J&K

Residents of Jammu and Kashmir feel abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A will bring development in newly formed UT. There was a perception that people in Jammu and Kashmir were not happy with the annulment of Article 35A and Article 370 but that was not the case. People especially in Jammu region are more than happy with the announcement as there was a lot of discrimination with the Jammu region.
Most of the population in Jammu and Kashmir is happy that Article 370 has been removed. People think that now development will take place in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir. They say that industry will also come in the state that will generate employment for the youth of the state. People of J&K are also of the view that central funding coming to the state will be very useful for people
