The Most Expensive Liquor: Louis Cognac XIII - $128,000 Per Bottle - Wine as Pricey as House All Louis XIII de Rémy Martin is a blend of 1,200 eaux de vie between 40 and 100 years old, aged in oak barrels that are several hundred years old; it costs about $128,000 SGD (around 100K USD) for the most expensive 6L bottle in Singapore. This price you can almost buy a house.

The name was chosen as a tribute to King Louis XIII of France, the reigning monarch when the Rémy Martin family settled in the Cognac region. Louis XIII cognac is produced in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac, from the growing of the grapes to the distillation and aging of the eaux-de-vie.

The wine is so expensive that they have to use a cloud machine to generate the vapor mist and you can try out the fragrance.

Aging for over 50 years the wine slowly absorbed the color and fragrance from the oak barrel. During the process you also lost about 50% of the wine due to evaporations
