Going into generation 8 we got a decent group of new pokemon; however, one of my favorite things to think about when we get new additions, is what possibilities still remain. With 18 types in the game, there are a possible 171 different type combinations that any given Pokemon can be created from. And In gen 7 there were 25 unused combinations; however, as of Gen 8 there are only 18 Type Combinations left that have been unused in any game. Definitely a solid bit of progress being made.
